Tuesdays: 8 - 12 yrs

Each Action Atelier lesson includes:
Term 1 and Term 2's main focus is devising and writing a 10 minute play, to be performed in the national play competition Sharp Short Theatre, at Parramatta Riverside Theatre.
Term 3 continues with Skills Sessions and in class performance.
Term 4 focuses on using acquired skills in preparing a performance for friends and family.
- Warm up drama games
- A Skills Session; neutral position & neutral walk, physicality, rhythm of scenes, rhythm of characters, abstract movement, animal movement, element movement, focus, transitions, slapstick, status, improvisation, comedy, timing, film acting.

Thursdays: 12 - 17 yrs

This class is for the slightly more serious drama student.
Students will learn several monologues throughout the year, as well as doing duologue and group scene work.
This class also enters the national play competition Sharp Short Theatre at Parramatta Riverside Theatre.
Topics covered are:
Self awareness, Using our own emotions in given circumstances, Approaches to Creating a Character, Connecting with others during performance, Clowning, Truthful reactions, Transactional Improvisation, Playbuilding, Intro to Emotional Memory Recall technique, Intro to Meisner Repeat exercises, Auditions, Character Physicality, Devising, Interpreting Text, Subtext, Television & Film Castings, Green-Screen filming.
